Backert Labs Rhythm 1.3

Designed, machined and built entirely in Pennsylvania, the Rhythm 1.3 tube preamp is our flagship. Available in black or silver.

- Uses two 12au7 tubes. Run so gently, they might just outlast all of us.

- Two fully balanced XLR inputs, one fully balanced XLR output. Three RCA inputs and two RCA outputs.

- Completely separate dual-mono power supplies and regulators for right and left channels

- Remote volume control, now including mute button 

- V-Cap ODAM output capacitors... these non-Teflon caps are the most accurate and dynamic sound we have heard yet from an output capacitor.

- Delivers natural, linear, and beautifully exciting music to your listening room.

The Rhythm is the only preamp in the world that has a power supply run exclusively by PTFE capacitors. (Yes, the material on your non-stick pans.) These caps do not touch the music signal -- instead they generate the raw power for the unit, where speed, power, accuracy, and nimble response are the most critical.

No other preamp, amplifier, or component of any kind is powered by PTFE capacitors. The Rhythm can do this because of the power supply that Bob Backert developed and patented, called GreenForce.(TM)

The Rhythm also includes our famous auto-bias circuit, which biases your tubes in real time for longer tube life and more accurate sound from tubes that work best with unusual levels of bias.

The technical advances of the Rhythm 1.3 go well beyond what can be written here. The results -- lively, high resolution, rhythmic, dynamic, natural sound. Pure, liquid musicality. 

Ease-of-use is enhanced by our handy tube access door on the top panel -- no more messing around with little screws to access your tubes.

Another feature that makes it all so easy: Home Theater Bypass allows you to integrate the Rhythm into your home theater, and unlike other brands, does not force you to leave the preamp on (with tubes burning away) while you bypass it to watch movies.
