Magico Q7 Mk2

Absolute Sound’s ’Product of the Year’ in 2015, the mighty Q7 MK2 needs no introduction. These will come packed in original crates (and on casters) and include the aluminum lifting plate, accessories, feet and associated socket drives. Magico’s top of the line in resolution and bass control in their under $750K price class. If you are shy about size, weight or monolithic presence, these centurions are not for you. But if you are looking to surpass M6 in bottom-end and in mid-range ease (think crossover), these are the clear choice. Obvious in side-by-side listening (M6 gets the nod for coolest industrial design). At 94 dB efficient, the Q7 MK2 is Magico’s most attractive option for those who must have dynamics while using tube-based power amplification.

In the review, Robert Harley notes the differences and improvements from the original Q7;

"The new Mk II simultaneously offers greater resolution and greater ease,"

and continues,

"Yet, astonishingly, the Mk II is significantly higher in resolution than the original in every way—instrumental tone color, fine transient detail, the ability to pick out a single instrumental line within complex arrangements, the “puff” of air around images within the soundstage. This increase in resolution and clarity is realized not just because the midrange and tweeter are more detailed, but because their lower distortion unmasks previously obscured information."
