If you know the history of Viola Audio Labs and that their ties back to Mark Levinson, you would then appreciate how Viola’s amps are considered by many as one of the greatest solid state amps money can buy. You can Google and read up more about Viola’s heritage but for here, we can tell you the Cadence is an absolute jaw dropper of an amp. As a single chassis unit, this is like the little brethren to the 2-chassis Bravo II amplifier. It enjoys many trickle down technology implemented in the Bravo II amps and instead of having a separate power supply unit and costing $18,000 more, the Cadence packs all the goodies into a single chassis. With 200W to boast off in 8 ohm, it is resoundingly powerful enough to drive just about any speakers out there. We tried this with the Magico S5 MK.II and they were a match made in heaven. The Magico needed solid clean power and the Cadence delivered them in buckets full. Bass was tightly controlled, mids were forward and full bodied with the highs clean and detailed. In 4 ohm, that power rating doubles up to 400W and if you get another unit and run them as monoblocks, their power rises to a massive 800W in 8 ohm and 1,600W in 4 ohm. Amplifier measures 17 5/8" wide, 8 5/8" tall and 19" deep and weighs a hernia inducing 120 lbs. This is one of those amplifiers that are designed to last a lifetime.

Cosmetically, the Cadence is in great shape. Minor scuff marks here and there but nothing major. We have the original packaging and will securely pack it for safe shipping. Due to its weight, we would strongly recommend it ship strapped on a pallet as freight or local pickup from our store. Manual is available online and amplifier can be switched between 100V, 120V and 240V with a change in the fuse (refer to manual for fuse values).

Trades welcome.
