Lexicon MC-8

This Lexicon MC-8 is an outstanding analog preamp and an exceptional processor.  I recommend reading the online reviews from Positive Feedback and Sound and Vision.

The software is upgraded to Version 2 which adds (a) Dolby Pro Logic IIx; (b) Full+Sub feature; (c) Improved 5.1 LOGIC 7 listening modes; and (c) Max volume setting.

The MC-8’s processing includes Dolby (EX, Digital 5.1, and Pro Logic II), DTS (ES Discrete and Matrix, 5.1, Neo:6, and even 24/96 soundtrack decoding), and THX (postprocessing and Ultra 2 Music and Cinema), however the MC-8’s Logic 7 processing is so good you will never use Dolby or DTS audio processing. 

The MC-8’s analog bypass makes this unit a very high-end audiophile preamp that competes well with other preamps that cost thousands of dollars.  If you have an Oppo 105 or 205 (or other comparable player/network streamer) connecting to the MC-8 via analog results in pristine sound.

This unit does not have HDMI, but I’ve always achieved better results connecting video sources directly to the TV and the optical out of the TV to the MC-8 for audio.

I replaced the original feet with six Bright Star Audio IsoNode Small anti-vibration feet.  I am including the original feet, however I recommend you don't replace the IsoNode feet.

Only the unit is included.  No remote, but it works well with Logitech Universal Remotes.  If you need a power cord let me know and I will include one.
