One of the many interesting things about this amplifier (digital receiver?) is that if you do not overload the inputs, the amp cannot clip.

Another terrific feature is the ability, using a computer on the same network, to create and apply filters that can then be selected using the Lyngdorf app. For example, I have created a filter from about 3kHz to 5kHz that reduces the sibilance in singers' voices and reduces the steeliness of violins that occur when the diffuse sound field captured on a recording is played back through speakers in front. The filter can be turned on or off at the touch of my phone.

Regarding the effect of Room Perfect, read the excellent review of the 2170 by Robert E. Greene in the Absolute Sound.  Room Perfect does a beautiful job of integrating subs with main speakers, better than I've ever been able to achieve by hand.
