You are bidding on a Vintage 1969 Dual 1009 changer turntable. Mechanically, it is in truly excellent condition. It functioned perfectly last time I used it. Included are all the parts such as the stacker for the changer, 45rpm adapter, stylus weight gauge, and 2 cartridges. The original cartridge mounted on a head is a Pickering XV15-625e. The newer cartridge is a Microacoustics MA2002 with an extra stylus. Also in the Pickering box are a bunch of parts for the heads and different cartridges. If it wasn't for the notch in the base, the mechanism would be a 9. Truly excellent condition
This was to be my turntable for a vintage system based on my Dad's equipment I grew up with but when the AR3a's were beyond hope (meaning would cost far more to rejuvenate than they could ever be worth), I gave up trying. Time to give it a new home where it will be appreciated as one of the best turntables of its era.
Questions for the seller |
---|
Hi, just wondering what happened to the base - why is there a notch cut out of it? Looks like a nice unit overall aside from this - please let us know, thanks very much! My father had custom cabinetry built and did not account for the angled base back in ....1970. Shame cuz it is mint otherwise.. I am sure any woodworker could make a new base |
