Bought new from an authorized dealer as demos in 2019, S/N K01259 and K01260.  At the time, I was told by the dealer that to prepare them for sale they had been given a brand new paint job and gotten all new drivers installed.  These won Stereophile's “Loudspeaker of the Year” award back when first introduced.  Their sound is amazing – open, detailed, punchy, and uncompressed.  These deliver explosive dynamics – details sometimes come out of nowhere and are startling.  They also throw a huge soundstage, both height and width.  Comes with all original shipping crates, accessory pack, jumpers, floor spikes, handling gloves, front and rear grilles.

As you can see in the photos, they look stunning and are in beautiful shape.  In terms of rating, as always, I have tried to be conservative.  I find it especially hard to rate items with gloss black finish as the gloss surface shows every imperfection imaginable.  I took as many pictures as possible but not sure that blemishes show up very well.  If you inspect the finish of these speakers up close, you will find minor blemishes, e.g., smudges, dust, carpet fibers, a few tiny scratches.   However, I could not see any noticeable blemishes from the listening position and I tend to be fairly anal about cosmetic condition.  My best attempt at rating is 9/10 from listening position, 8/10 from 2 feet away, 7/10 upon close-up inspection.  With enough buffing out using a small microfiber cloth, I have found that eventually, most all smudges go away.  For some reason, it seemed to me that the paint on the speaker bases were less “glossy” than the rest of the speakers – not quite matte, just not as much ‘gloss shine’.

Shipping costs to be paid by the buyer.  I will have sent freight to CONUS only.  The two shipping crates are strapped to a single pallet for freight shipment.  Total weight on the pallet is 300 lbs and dimensions are 58” L x 42” W x 28” H.
