Rotel RX-402 Analog Stereo Receiver

Don't dismiss this unit because of its age, brand, or power rating. As a classic period McIntosh owner (MC240, C20, C22, etc) and Marantz Model 22 analog stereo receiver, when I first heard the 402 play I was impressed by the very conservative 25 wpc rating and how sweet the FM tuner sounded. Based on the fact that this is a ROLAND unit made in Japan and not the usual outer countries I think it was manufactured in the early 70's. This one is in the best condition I've seen from the units still available on the secondary market. With a pre-out/main-in loop this receiver can serve as an preamp/tuner when connected to a stand alone power amp. All inputs/outputs work, all knobs are clean, smooth and absent of unwanted noise. I used the 402 to power Celestion 5's for drum kit practice. Have a daughter or son interested in music and playing vinyl? Would you like to create an office system that attracts other eyes and ears?
