As much fun as it is to tweak my system, I prefer to keep the front end simple. I stream from a Cambridge 851N to one of 3 amps: Mark Levinson ML-23.5, Jeff Rowland Model 5, or Line Magnetic LM 150ia. These amps drive my TSW Apogee Duetta Ultimates. I also can rotate in Acoustat Spectra 66’s, Acoustat 2+2’s, Apogee Scintillas, or Apogee Mini Grands. I can custom tailor the sound to my mood by switching amps and/or speakers.
If you are looking for anything from a basic ribbon replacement to a full on restoration with upgrades, reach out to True Sound Works in Nevada. Rich Murry will hook you up.
I love the Apogee Duetta Ultimates. I have the Duetta Signature Series. They are needing some love. I have had them for about 28 years with nothing changed but amps preamps and sources. Do you have a direction you can send me to have mine spruced up?
Thanks for the kind words. To be honest, the site was glitchy when I uploaded my components and would only accept three. Haha. However, I am currently streaming from a Cambridge 851N, through a Mark Levinson ML-9, to the Duetta Ultimates. I just added a Jeff Rowland Model 5 amp to go with the Levinson and my Line Magnetic 150ia tube amp. I will rotate them through to see what I like best. I also have an H2O Signature that needs some service that sounds good in the system. I also have Apogee Scintillas, Apogee Mini Grands, Acoustat Spectra 66’s, and Acoustat 2+2’s that get rotated in from time to time.
I like your decorator, function and fashion, this in true high end in every regard. I also appreciate there is no waste, 3 components and you have exactly what you want.
