As a hobbyiest on a budget and limited space to work with, this is my Throne Room reference system containing a horizontal bi-amp set up. The Spectral DMA-200 powers the mid and highs for both Vandersteen Model 2C's while the ADCOM GFA 5500 powers the low frequencies via Tributaries series 8 Bi-amp speaker cables. The versatility of the Vincent PHO-701 allows me to adjust resistance and tube roll like a make shift DSP for different genres of music. This project is always a work in progress as my ultimate goal is to vertically Bi-amp the Vandersteen's with 2x GFA 5500's. The 5500 in my system is from 2004 and it has been a challenge to find a twin. I've biased a few 5500's from the early to mid 90's and can't quite get the balance right. The only thing that matters is that this process brings me JOY!
Spectral DMA200 Megahertz Class A Amplifier The DMA-200 Class A amplifier is in front of today's technology, at high speed and power, this amplifier represents a very different, innovative, radical amplifier design, inspired by the high technology and instrumentation used by the Silicon Valley. With its Ultra Wide Band capability and high power signal response, the audio industry has redefined the world's top segment "A" Class amp design and performance with its success in the audio industry. Even if only the Mega Hertz operating principle can be applied, the Spectral DMA-200 is still ahead of our time. Working at the Megahertz level; means that it can process the incoming signal more quickly (or even more quickly) than all other amplifiers; which means that it has a very positive contribution to sound quality
