This system was built with a singular purpose: to deliver music in its most honest, neutral form — revealing every nuance, every subtlety, exactly as the artist intended.

Cabinet handmade using native Australian wood.

    • McIntosh C12000
    The McIntosh C12000 is the heart of the system and personifies a pure, detailed sound production through its balanced architecture and tube/solid state hybrid design.

    The line stage Tubes in C12000 rolled to 4 x Siemens E81CC ECC801S Matched Quad - Munich '68 and 2 x 12AX7 Telefunken / Leeds & Northrup, Tektronix, Red Tip.

    Phono Stage Tubes 4 x 12AX7 replaced with: 4 x Matched Quad Telefunken ECC83 12AX7 Smooth Plate Vacuum Tubes NOS, Factory: Telefunken Heilbronn, West Germany, Production 1965.

    All balanced connections are done via Audioquest Thunderbird XLR Cable. 

    • Burson Audio Soloist GT4 (Max)

    Burson Soloist GT4 Max with Fusion Core PSU

    Connected via Audioquest Thunderbird Balanced XLR Connections from the McIntosh C12000 (Solid State out). 

    10 watts of pure Class-A output

    The Max version includes Burson’s V7 Vivid Pro discrete opamps, Silent Power 02 regulation, and the Fusion Core GaN-based power supply. This PSU delivers a 24V/15A with ultra-low noise.

    • LUMIN Lumin U2 Network Transport
    Acting as Roon Endpoint / Streamer. Lumin U2 receives FLAC or DSD stream from Roon Server via RAAT. All PCM FLAC 192kHz/24bit are upsampled to DSD256, whilst Native DSD remains bit-perfect without any upsampling. Lumin U2 sends DSD stream to T+A DAC200 for True 1-bit processing.
    • T+A DAC200
    T+A DAC200 receives DSD256 signal from Lumin U2 via USB. 
    It also receives DSD64 (SACD) and PCM44 (CD) from Magnetar UDP800 SACD/CD player via dedicated HDMI connection.
    For TV audio, it receives audio via fibre optic connection
    Analog exit is connected via balanced XLR (Audioquest Thunderbird) to McIntosh C12000 Pre-amplifier.
    • Sonus Faber Olympica Nova V
    Sonus Faber Olympica Nova V – Italian Floor-stander speaker. Walnut Wood, connected via Odin 2 speaker cables to McIntosh MC611 monoblock amplifiers at 4ohm impedance. 
    • McIntosh MC611

    2 x McIntosh MC611 Monoblock Power Amplifiers 

    Connected to McIntosh C12000 pre-amplifier Tube XLR output connectors.

    • Technics SL-1300G
    Technics SL-1300G Direct Drive Turntable with Hana ML Moving Coil Cartridge.
    Connected to McIntosh C12000 pre-amplifier phono stage.

    C12000 phono stage equipped with 4x Telefunken ECC83 12AX7 Smooth Plate Vacuum Tubes NOS Amplitrex, Factory: Telefunken Heilbronn, West Germany.

    • Magnetar UDP 800 Blu-ray/SACD/CD Player
    Magnetar UDP 800 Player connected via HDMI to TV input, as well as HDMI (Audio Only) to T+A DAC200 for PCM (up to 192kHz) and DSD64 (SACD) Audio.

Yes, I do realise the speakers would breathe better further away from the wall. Currently they are 750mm away from the rear wall, which is about the max that I can pull them forward in my apartment. Space is limited.

Im planning on moving into a larger space in due time, where this would not be a challenge.

The cabinet was made by my close friend here in Sydney with reclaimed native Australian wood. He did a phenomenal job.

Nice system but are you able to pull your speakers out more? They really should have more room to breathe. Nice job on that cabinet it looks great!
