Thanks so much ! Yup, I spent a lot of time planning the cable runs, weaving the powercords, separating interconnects, trying to keep everything as close to the rack spine as possible. I appreciate your comment since the "look" of the system is also important to me and my system is in my large Living Room & Bar area where we entertain.
I really like the Adona Altair Rack, it is priced nicely, it has very heavy granite shelves with rubber suspension, the frame is super sturdy, it has fully customizable shelving clearances, and it looks great. I have herbies giant fat sliders under the six posts, and I can pull the rack out without marking my wood floor when fully loaded and mess with my cables. This is my first audiophile rack, so, I cannot compare it to any other racks, except to say that I am glad I bought it, and I am happy with it. In addition, Paul, the owner of Adona, is super cool and will work with you to build any height rack you want, with any number of shelves. This was important to me since I am running tube amps, and I wanted a tall, narrow Altair 6DW instead of a short 9DW, etc... He builds them to order in Florida, and I believe it took about 4 or 5 weeks to get the customized rack, very quick turn around.
