I made a 'floating' back panel of matching wood, so no wires are visible in front of the white wall behind when viewing thru the cutouts from the front.
I was able to make very large cutouts for increased ventilation and access to the back of the components when I slide the floating panel off it's rail.
A deeper than normal component can fit if needed
