Thank you all for the nice comments.
The room was a challenge as I did all the work and had to balance this project with my real job.
The design is Industrial Modern as this room is at our manufacturing facility, I added masonry walls and colored added in spots to resemble a solid concrete poured wall. The brick was distressed and has some black in it at patches to make it look like a smokey machine was in there.
Rear wall is a pass thru wall that is essentially a chambered wall that ports to attic 15' up.
Windows were covered with 20mm Panzerholz which created more bass punch and more clarity to HF.
Ceiling is a pass thru designed acoustic ceiling that filters into its own sealed enclosed space in the arctic. The frequencies from rear chamber wall, ceiling, and bass traps never meet again. They stay isolated from one another once they leave the room.
Floor was a tremendous challenge. We have 12" thick concrerte floors. I resurfaced then to open the pores up so I could use a bonding agent followed bu a moisture mitigation epoxy to seal floor from moisture.
I designed Panzerholz floor and cut the panels on a CNC router.I cut a 0.080" channel (reveal) 11.345"apart to create a plank industrial floor look. I adhered the Pz panels to the floor with a moisture mitigation adhesive that was the color and textured of peanut butter. I V-grooved troweled the panels and went to town. Floor is 20mm PZ. I can play 95-98db in the 25-28hz range and set a bottle of water on the floor and not a ripple.
Next up was the bass traps/diffussers. I went off Tom's measurements. They are 10'-2" tall and are 24" radius. They are big. I built them into the steel structure of the building so they were build in the room not on a bench.
I paid homage to Tom Thiel with his book matched veneers on Thiel speakers. I butterflied the Clear Vertical Grain Western Cedar to mirror the two bass tarps like Thiel speakers set the standard for.
I found a guy on Craigslist selling cigar boxes for $1. I bought about 50 of them.
I organized them on a 12mm Pz board and trimed it out with a cork picture frame to absorb slightly The cigar bozes are various heights and used as a diffuser to add focus to images.
Door is 50mm PZ in a chevron pattern from the 1930's, as they were coming out of the depression, and slated doors were cheaper and easier to fix,so paid respect to this era of manufacturers.
On rear wall I founf two old industrial bulkhead lights. Great ambient light and they look cool.
Chairs are racing red Barcelonia Chairs.
Equipment rack is a suspension rack paying respect to the racing industry in which I make a living in. It is 40mm thick Panzerholz (Pz) with all custom CNC machined bronze with a custom black wood flour and linseed dyed black veneer.
Thanks again everyone.
Just added 4 images of a Festholz Suspension rack 40mm thick with all CNC bronze. This is based of a professional motorsports suspension. I had a few minutes left in my day and I was bored so this was created.
