I would like to get some good floor speakers, a tube preamp, and tube power amp that will integrate with a SACD and plasma TV, which I already own. The speakers, preamp and amp need to be in the neighborhood of $3000. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
With this kind of budget I would look into Jolida for the tube amp. I had it before switching to my current amp and it does sound prety great for the cost. Totaly agree with the Jaxwired about the KEFs. Just make sure to use some better speaker cables. Good luck.
Well, obviously you need to buy used with that budget. I'd recommend looking at integrated amps by Rogue and PrimaLuna. They have quality tube components at budget prices. Spend $1500 on the tube integrated and that leaves $1500 for speakers. Look at Monitor Audio, Totem, Dynaudio, and KEF.
