Your speakers need a serious power source. SS or tube amps, but not a receiver. On the cheap side I'd recommend a Sunfire 300 watts/ch 2 ch amp. If you want multichannel, use the receiver for the center and surrounds or get a multi ch sunfire.
Get a real two channel amp, I am selling an onkyo for a friend that it was compare against luxman, Hegel and others hi end gear and perform excellent, take a look and read views. Regards
