Description

This is really a budget system built up over a few years. A turntable is next, but no hurry. I have an Acoustic Signature Tango phono preamp waiting (Jerry Raskin Needle Doctor open box, $400). A very competent system for less than $3K all together.

    Based on military surplus waveguide antennae for Radar systems ($20). WaveGuide section is 22" tall, 4x6" square tubing with 7x9" flanges top and bottom, all 0.375" thick aluminum. A 3/4" Plywood base 10x12" is fitted with field point (hunting arrow) spikes. Automotive DynoMat coats the inside of the square tube section, which is then filled with silica-free sandblast media. Top flange has a MDF cover and couples to speaker with Blu-Tak. Painted gloss black.
