Description

Hi, Im new in the audiophile world, because of that I REALLY appreciate your opinions and comments regarding how to built my first system.

Im looking for a deep and powerful bright sound, where you can feel differences among instruments, and voices

I usually listen instrumental, latin and techno music

My living room is medium size (21ft x 17ft), wooden floor, bricks and glass

My total budget is close to $5.000

I just bought a McCormack DNA 125 amp, and still looking for a pre amp, cd player, speakers and cables

My first approach is: the McCormack RLD Amp, a B&W 604s3 speakers, I have no idea about CD Player and cables

Thanks for all your comments and suggestions.

Hi

I bet your system has been transformed quite a bit right now but man oh man what a 1st system! Older McCormack gear all around. How does the McCormack CD Drive sound? I saw one @ my local repair shop for sale and was thinking about picking it up to replace my Oppo DV 980H. The Oppo sounds good but I'm a bit of a McCormack fan. I have the TLC-1 Deluxe and love it.

Thanks and advise when you can. JD

Congrats on starting your system! I will just throw in my two cents regarding the B&Ws...If you can swing it, I would try to step up to the 704s. I have had mine for about 7 months now and I absolutely love them. I tried all the B&Ws up to and including the 803s. In my opinion, the 704 was the sweet spot as moving up I did not notice enough of a difference to warrant the extra $$$. Even if it takes a little longer to finish off your system, I would recommend it.

Happy Hunting.
