Description

My first foray into tube-land has just started, and I am liking it so far. The system is a little dark overall, and I am looking for some new cables right off to help there, as well as some slyvania metal bases.

Silver interconnects and speaker cable like those made by Audio Magic tend to liven up dark sounding systems.

To transfer the entire sound spectrum, and alleviate the darkness, I have had outstanding success with the under-priced, direct marketed products made by greggstraley@yahoo.com Worked for my Cary SLA-70Sig EL-34 amp, and my Aranov 960i 6550 integrated amp. If you mean by "a little dark" that the sparkle or life in the music is lacking, then you will be pleased with Gregg's interconnects or speaker cable. There is a sense of being right there with the performers, but without any listener fatigue. The main problem is what might be called reverse sticker shock. When you spend so little, it doesn't seem fair to get such improved sound. Improved the quality of sound in my systems even more than tube rolling, where you might still be left feeling something is missing, unless you get the whole message to your speakers.
