Jlind325is well this is my first real investment in cable and I'm still breaking them in but my sound is amazing. I also added a placette passive linestage at the same time I switched to Transparent MM2 so its a big change from where I was before. I want to compare it with Jena Labs after 6 months to a year of listening. So far I am quite happy with my purchase. There is one downfall, once you upgrade to MM2 you'll probably start thinking about upgrading all your other equipment. I want a Emm CDSA SE SACD player! Anyone looking for a Levinson 30.5?

I just bought about 20 CDs after getting my new equipment so hopefully I'll have some time to do some listening!

Rhohense-

What do you think of the new MM2 technology? I recently attended Music Matters in Seattle where Transparent unveiled the new technology. Needless to say the demo was jaw dropping. It wasn't a direct comparison but nonetheless the new technology seemed to be a must have for Transparent owners. They compared Reference MM to Reference XL MM2. Imaging, extension and tighter bass were the largest improvements I heard. Did you have older Transparent before?

System edited: Just Updated my system Pics. Thanks for looking.

You haven't posted to your system in quite a while. Are you still listening to the Revels in the pics? I purchased a pair a few months ago and was overwhelmed with their capabilities. Very nice pics. Your view in Colorado was a tad more picturesque wasn't it?

Next step is trying to get a SME Model 10 turntable and hopefully a Manely Steelhead preamp. Right now I just got a PS Audio Phono Preamp, the new one that just came out. It has volume control so I can run balanced cables from my phono preamp to my sub then balanced again from my sub to my amp. Trying to decide on cables, Nordost, Stealth?

Gmwong-Thanks so maybe a Manley Shrimp or Cary SLP98 and some 200wpc SS monoblocks. Maybe Krell FPB 350Mcx? Maybe Mark Levinson amp No.434?

Basically I am moving toward mainly a turntable setup with a CD/SACD player on the side.

Do others agree with running a tube preamp and a solid state amp?

Thanks everyone

Thanks for taking time to view my system: Pax Cubiculum. I expect that like you, I've been very happy with Revel M20s. Have heard much about their new M22s. I expect to keep the M20s with me for a few more years before I am stricken with upgrade bug. I previously mated a tube pre-amp (Manley Shrimp) to solid-state amp (Aleph Volksamp 30--Pure class A)--worked fine except that the Revels needed bit more more power. I have always felt that that an impedance-matching tubed preamp is a good partner for solid-state amp. I have tried passive preamp (Creek OBH-14), which I didn't think worked as well as tubed preamp. Best of luck with premap upgrade.

Limitations of the project, well I haven't had it very long and it is my first table. I bought the table because I really wanted a nice VPI table and Cart but didn't have the $$. So its an amazing table if you consider the cost and build quality you get. I can't really compare it to anything else because I have never listened to any other table in this price range.

I do love the sound of my system when I bypass my marantz and go from my CD player directly to my AMP, very detailed and revealing.

What are your feelings of the limitations of the Project?
I bet your gear sounds great!

Wow - looks like you went from a bright open room to a secluded little cave! (I prefer the cave, myself). Have to agree with 'Writckle' on your selection of music - nice. Great setup too - like most audiophiles, you are always two, three, four steps ahead of yourself. THanks for posting!
