Hi, I also have a Plinius 8200 and have always wanted Quads. I was wondering if they are a good match. Can you tell me about the sound character and the power handling of the Plinius with the ESL 57s?

By the way, you ought to try the phono stage in the Plinius - all you need is a cheap Rega turntable, a nice cartridge and some decent records to blow away any CD sound. Caveat: it's easy but necessary to find a cartridge that suits the Plinius' 47kohm cartridge loading.

Happy Listening

I'm trying to stay with integrated amps. The sherwood and the plinius are both nice in thier own right... but the search continues. Now thinking about the Prima Luna Pro. 2, the Yagin KT 88 based integrated or either of the ming da 805 integrateds.

Tremendous speakers. A real classic!

Ever try driving them with Berning EA230's? I knew someone who absolutely loved the combination.

Enjoy!
