My system is comprised of a Rotel processor (RSP-1068) and amps (RB-1050 and RMB-1075) and Onkyo "universal" player (DV-CP802). The front main speakers are do-it-yourself MTM bookshelves based on the design posted to the htguide.com website (designed by JonMarsh). The other speakers/sub in my system are the Infinity Alpha series. I switched out the front pair mainly because I found the Alphas a bit too sibilant and harsh for 2-channel music listening.
Any comments/suggestions about an upgrade path are appreciated. I'm generally happy with the home theater aspect of this set-up, but I'm thinking about buying a dedicated CD transport/player or music server.
What is your cable situation? I just finished adding power cables and cant believe the difference. Good cables go along way. A fellow A-goner recommended i try listening with the wall outlet plate removed and there was a definate improvement in sound quality with it removed. Just a few recommendations.
