Description

Big improvement over my old system-- moved out of the apartment and into a house! Now I have a dedicated room used only for audio. Also decided to get a subwoofer now that I'm not worried about upsetting apartment neighbors. Also got some old analog sources to play with. Got hooked on Vinyl now too. Fun stuff! This is my paradise.

    • Sony CDP-CX255
    200 Disc Changer
    • Pioneer PL-600
My first turntable. I like it.
    • Akai GX-4000DB
I repaired this reel-to-reel and have been having fun and enjoying it since.
    • Yamaha DSP-E492
A/V Receiver & Center, Rear speaker amp.
    • Yamaha DDP-1
    Decoder for 5.1 movies.
    • Yamaha MX-460
A pair of these drive the main speakers in a vertical bi-amp array. I lub my yammies :)
    • Mirage OM-9
I love my Mirage OM-9 speakers.
    • Mirage M-290is
My first Mirage speakers-- they got me hooked. Used to use them for mains, now they handle surround duty.
    • Mirage BPS-150
I think I barely have the volume turned up one notch and it bumps to the house. Took some time to get it to balance with the rest of the system. It is quite powerful, but still very musical when adjusted right.
    • Polk Audio CS-400
Got it used (without the grill). It matches well enough with the rest of the system until I can find a Mirage OM-C2 I can afford.

Awesome set up. Looks like a good place to watch the game.

Im thinking about picking up some Om-9s that are local to me and stumbled on your system. My only concern is imaging- I have grown accustomed to pin point imaging with the speakers I have now- not sure how a wide more diffused soundstage will float my boat.
