I have built this system over 20 years, starting with a used LP12 Sondek. Its been fun fuilding it, but very frustrating due to the high costs. I have to wait till the used price of a unit comes down into my price range.

Currently, I'm looking for an Ikemi, or a Unidisk SC. I'm not sure which one is better.

I hear you on the cost of Linn and it's getting worse all the time. A weak dollar certainly does not help either.

The basic Majik system (amp / pre-amp and CDP) is $9,000 now.

As long as you can get "good" used gear, keep going!
