The reason is always evolving, still the MC2000 was a supreme amlpifier. May still be the best amp i heard, but the Xa100.5 is very close and have more power :)

System edited: New amplifiers, i never bought the 601 monos. Got the Xa1005. instead, and a Dac8.

Sanji: Over a beer with my dealer, he thought i should try it in my system. I did and i was blown away by the sound.. :)

A few changes, Linn Lp 12 & MC2000 Sold.

New:

Audio Research Dac 8 and Mcintosh MC 601 :)

Now im happy again :)

Another audiophile and MC275 owner helped me research and test different tubes:

Reissued Genalex Gold Lions KT88 for additional power or Genalex GEC KT88. 12AX7 / ECC83 / 7025 / CV4004 like Mullard and Telefunken or Tung-Sol.

I know the heat will be a problem for me as I transition to Florida.

Cmalak: Im using Linn Linto, but im selling LP 12 & Linto tomorrow. Time for some changes, im looking for a more exotic player !

Lapierre: i`ve heard there is better tubes than the original, have you tried any other tubes ?

I have changed the location a few times, but now when i dont have a Vinyl player im going for a smaller hifi stand. So i can put the amp between the speakers !

yes the heat is a problem in summertimes..:)

I like the vacuum. Makes me think your using your room alot. The Ref 3 is solid. Each piece you have chosen works well together I'm sure. Keep up the listening.

I really love your system. The picture makes a bold, high quality, and beautiful statement...but the inclusion of the vacuum is a true oversight.
