Description

A system that's still in development. Added the B&W 804 Diamonds last year and have been very happy overall. Now looking to add a little more bloom and presence, so I'll be making the switch to tube for the amplifier. I'm currently planning on moving a Rogue Audio Atlas Magnum with the KT120 tube upgrade into my system.

    • NAD C 525BEE
Great sounding NAD cd player built as the next evolution of the C 521BEE.
    • PS Audio PerfectWave DAC
Beautifully built DAC with great clarity and a ton of inputs. Really takes digital to the next level.
    • Music Hall MMF 5
Good starter turntable, very quiet for its price and quite lyrical.
    • Bel Canto Design S300iU Integrated Amplifier
The S300iU’s integrated amplifier consists of a low distortion, wide-bandwidth preamplifier coupled with a potent, 150Wpc, dual-mono Class D power amplifier based on modified ICEpower modules. The amp provides four line-level analog audio inputs plus a fifth modular input bay that—in the case of the S300iU—provides a digital audio input in the form of a 24-bit/96kHz USB DAC The input side of the DAC incorporates a built-in version of the circuitry from Bel Canto’s well-regarded 24/96 USB Link, which is said to reduce jitter and noise for improved sound quality. Interestingly, though, the USB Link circuitry probably performs better in the S300iU than it does as a stand-alone product because it is positioned on the same circuit board as the DAC—eliminating the Link’s traditional outboard housing, digital audio cable, and connectors as possible sources of noise and jitter.
    • B&W 804 Diamond
the elegant, floorstanding 804 Diamond has an even more commanding acoustic presence, thanks to a true three-way design incorporating two Rohacell® bass units, an FST™ midrange and a diamond dome tweeter delivering pin-sharp clarity all the way up the frequency range. A brilliant all-round performer for any occasion.
    • Nordost Blue Heaven LS RCA
A fully-shielded design that can be terminated for balanced or single-ended connection, it employs four, heavy-gauge 24 AWG, silver-plated 99.9999% OFC solid-core conductors, precision wound in a minimum cross-section configuration that eliminates unnecessary fillers or padding elements. Insulation is high-grade FEP, selected for its superior dielectric performance, while the elegant minimalism extends to the carefully selected low-mass connectors and differential grounding.
    • AudioQuest Rocket 88
Rocket 88 speaker cable from AudioQuest, featuring the patented 72-volt Dielectric Bias System. This 'Double-Star Quad' cable. AudioQuest Rocket 88 offers amazingly clean and effortless performance, thanks to a combination of extraordinary materials and extremely refined design.
    • Acoustech Electronics PH-1P
PH-1 Premium phono preamp, very quiet, great resolution, wonderfully musical piece

I've been thinking of moving the rack to the side of the room and just leaving an amp platform there between the speakers. I appreciate the advice, thanks.

Nice system. The drill in the rack is it 16/44 Makita or an upsampling 24/96 DeWalt?. Seriously though, you should really consider moving the rack out from between the speakers to another location - or try a lower rack so as to not effect the imaging of these very fine speakers.
