Hi Morrow, beautiful system. I have an earlier version of the Acapella Violon. I love the speakers, but have had trouble finding a suitable amp to drive them with. At the moment I am using Cary CAD-211's, which are adequately powerful (110W) but lack sufficient drive to get the woofers pumping. I have tried a powerful SS amp (300W) which shows that the woofers actually have plenty go give ... but the top end sounds tinny and horrible.

Given that Acapella themselves frequently demo the speakers with an Einstein 60W OTL amp, which are not very powerful and known not to like low impedance loads ... I am wondering how you are going with your Atma-Sphere M60's. Have you had issues with your bass?

I have put in a lot of effort to get my system sounding right. There is a small club of Acapella Violon owners here on Audiogon, we should get together to share our experiences with this intriguing but challenging speaker :)

Soundsgood2me, I hope Mike doesn't mind me answering your question. But I believe they are like the chair I have. They are from Ikea and they a from the Poang collection. They are comfortable and affordable. I've had mine for about six months and it seems like it will hold up well.

I'm happy enough with mine that if needed I would buy another one. Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Scott

Lookin' good, and surely sounding the same! On another point, though, what caught my eye are the chairs you show. They look comfortable enough to shift around as needed yet are stylish, too. I'd love to get a pair-who makes em'?

Hey Mike,
Nice system and it looks like you have enough music to last a while!
Is this set-up the listening room at your business?

I'm really loving the Ayon Spirit II and CD2 you sold me last winter, great, great sound and so well-made. . . I agree wholeheartedly with your description of the CD2, it really gets to the beauty of the music, a wonderful music-maker . . . Now I just need more time to allow me to listen to the system.
