For many years we have been searching for the Thrax Audio Products. We have always really loved what some of the best 300b amplifiers have produced but they always seemed to lack in the control of speakers,resolution,dynamics,power and Bass. we always thought that someday someone would come out with a product that does everything the best 300b amps do and more. the perfect amp would have been a 300b amplifier on Steroids we thought. well here it is. A perfect Amplifier which gives the power and control of some of the best Solidtate amps with the musicality of the best 300b amps. It uses the 520b, A super high powered 300b by design. The Spartacus Amps are the best amplifiers we have ever heard. Ok so we bragged a bit about the amps. Well I have to say that there DAC,Phonostage,preamp and phono are all just as good as the amplifiers. When all the Thrax Audio Componets are put together as a set it is really pretty unbelievable. The sound of them isn't Solid State or tube it just sounds REAL!!!
after spending a ton of time with computer based music servers we have decided to use the Weiss MAN 301 as our server. It simply sounds amazing!

I don't see any listings for what power cords are in use in your great system. I now have one Enklein Taurus PC, on my amp, and it made a big improvement over both a Tara the One, as well as HiDiamond P4. What PC's are you using?

He is an incredibly nice guy and has a very good ear. We are very happy we discovered Thrax. It was tough for me to find a product like this with FM Acoustics being my Reference gear. I was looking for a product, specially a tube product that I felt was in the league of FM Acoustics and I believe we found it.
Hello Guys, my buddy a reviewer at present have the Thrax Amp and Preamp in his system along with some other World Class gear here in NYC. The Venture speakers are good but its got to be the Thrax equipment that makes it sing. WOW, the Thrax stuff is fantastic. If Bob will get the chance to hear at least the Thrax Dionysos Pre in his system, he will lose his mind. I am really happy I got the chance to hear it . I might just have to go in that direction.
Hi Bob, I agree with you 100% on the Venture Speakers. We found them to be some of the most natural sounding speakers we have heard to date. The previous models with the AMT are nice too. We have a pair of the Grand Excellence III signatures here as well. The Thrax line is incredible! we will be showing it at RMAF if you can make it. The Thrax DAC is the best D/A converter we have ever heard which is a 32 bit 384 RTR Ladder DAC which is pretty much untouchable. it is already advanced in technology and modular design so basically it will never go out of date it is always upgradable. Its the first D/A Converter we have heard that can actually play Hi Res without loosing its sonic purity and musicality. Many of the new Hi Res DAC's suffer when playing hi res file's even the most expensive one's. I'm not really familiar with the playback designs. I heard good things about it tho. Mike Slaminski is looking at the Thrax Line.. He really love's it and says he wants to be a dealer for it.
Love the new Venture speaker line; a nice level of improvement with the new abacca pulp tweeter and midrange, with the underhung magnet and voice coil...I have the previous model; with the AMT ribbon tweeter; and love it paired with VAC tubed pre and Hegel H030 SS running as a stereo amp. Best detail and warmth; and sound staging and sonic density I've heard..bettering the Magico's which tend to sound a bit dry, and also the Wilson's, in my opinion, and in my set up. Not familiar with the Thrax line. Recently added a Playback Design Dac 5, and with DSD playback, my Venture's have never sounded so good; much better than when using Ayon CD5s as source and dac. How does the Thrax compare to Playback design as a source? Nice looking room; by the way. bob
