Digital, I never thought it could sound this good! Who knew? I have been a vinyl guy my entire life. Well back into I vinyl! New system in the process. Vinyl/digital once again.
Hi Ken, sorry I just saw you post. As you can see I replaced with MSB 500S. I sold the SIA-500 some time ago. It is a really good integrated amp. I have no experience with the SIS-025. I will say, only down side of vitus, I had a warranty issue and they tried to get away without repairing. Bad experience. As good as my system had sounded with it, the extra power definitely made a difference.
I read that you want to replace your Vitus SIA-025. What amp(s) will you replace it with? fwiw, I'm looking to purchase a used SIS-025. Please let me know when you're ready to sell it, as I'm ready to buy one.
Hi Jeff thanks for your kind words. The Vitus SIA-025 is in my opinion the best integrated amp out there. Although they may have come out with a 030. In any case, I no longer use it as a pre-amp. I now use the MSB Reference as a pre and dac. I am for the time being using the SIA-025 as a two channel amp only. It will be up for sale in the near future. I am considering the MSB S500. As far as choosing my system’s make up, l have been through 3 different DACs, 4 or 5 turn tables and tonearms. Mult different phono stages, cartridges, music-severs, speakers and racks. It’s been a long road to this point. I am quite happy where I am right now. Other then changing my amp, simply because I no longer use it as a integrated, I am done for now.
jtnicolosi thanks for the kind words. I am quite happy and have no intention of changing anything. Vn101606 I could not tell you. I will say after years of upgrading and trying so many different components in my system, my best advise, leave it alone. Improvements tend to be negligible. Most times even teeny. Especially with wire. Speakers in my view give the biggest bang for the buck. Then source. Wire, the least. Unless your really bored and just need to spend money, leave them alone. Happy New Years!
Beautiful system. Congrats for the Kodo The Beat turntable!
Do you know what is the sonic difference between the Echole Obsession and the Echole Obsession mkII interconnects? I have a few Echole Obsession interconnects and wonder if it would be worth changing to mkII.
