    • Sansui 5000X
My dad bought this receiver when he was stationed in Vietnam in 1971. It's been moved all over the place over the past decades. Their last move relegated it to storage where I found it. When I got it, the tuning cord was out of adjustment and it had several panel lamps out. Apparently these units have notoriously unreliable output boards. Fortunately when I had the unit serviced for the tuner and panel lamps, they let me know that the unreliable board had already been replaced, so that was a win.

For the time being, this one is sitting unused until I have a larger space.
    • Polk Audio RTA-12c
Another local Craigslist find, purchased to restore. These tower speakers sound pretty great. I haven't gotten to stretch their legs yet. It's been almost a year and this project is still incomplete. I still need to repair the broken top hats and and re-grille-cloth. Also planning to re-veneer with something prettier than the plastic that was originally used.
