Components Toggle details

    • NSMT Model 75 Loudspeaker
2 way with internal powered sub. Sits on Nobsound Springs
    • Aric Audio Transcend Push Pull and Galion TSA75 amps Tubed and SS Amps
Connected directly to the Weiss 501. Stack Audio Auva EQ footers. Aric uses Ray Reserve 6SN7 and Ray Select KT88 tubes
    • Weiss Engineering DAC 501 MK I
Streamer with pre-amp functions. Fiber optic cable connected with 2 FMC boxes from the router. Final leg from second FMC box is a Triode Wire Labs Freedom Ethernet cable. Stack Audio Auva EQ footers.
    • SMSL PL200T
CD Transport, ISO Acoustics Orbea footers
    • Audioquest Niagara 1200
All components plugged in. Iso Acoustics footers
    • Triode Wire Labs American Series
speaker cables, rca interconnects and Ethernet cable and power cords. These products produce a natural sounding presentation with plenty of detail. Best I have ever used regardless of price.
    • SolidSteel Audio rack
    • TP-Link MC220L
I substituted a fiber optical ethernet media converter box set up to replace the ethernet cable run from router to dac.  I replaced the wall wart power supply to the FMC box closest to the dac. I used an IFi power supply.  It seems like there is more detail and transparency from possibly a lower noise floor.

Thanks, Larry.  And yes, I'll certainly let Erol know of your recommendation.

Happy listening.  Great system.

I have owned the Weiss one year, It replaced a LUMIN T2 I owned 3 years. The Weiss is superior sonically in every way, tone, spatial qualities, transparency. Also very natural sounding. If you can find a place to audition one you will hear the difference immediately.
If you call NSMT you will speak with owner, designer Erol Ricketts. Would you tell him I recommended NSMT? This is a small company that uses word of mouth advertising.

Thanks, Tuberist.  Going to give NSMT a call.

How long have you had the Weiss dac?  I've always wanted to hear one.  What was your previous dac?

If I had known how good those speakers are, I would have indebted myself for the model 100s. The 75s are  astounding.

What a nice system and room.  Love the simplicity of the system.  I'd guess that system synergy is really good.

Thanks for posting pictures of your new NSMT 75's.  Gorgeous.  How are you liking them so far?  I'm considering trying them out.

Love the simplicity and your room is very nice.

Happy Listening!

ML, I agree no great audio stores in Prescott but that's to be expected. Brick and mortar are on the decline for sure.  I think you're headed to the Valley to get the service you need. I only stream anymore and have the gear to pull off high resolution through Qobuz and Roon. BTW, I grew up in Pittsburgh, went to Pitt and moved to Boston after graduation. I came to Prescott from Boston 3 years ago this month. I'm lovin' the weather and non-stressed population.

Thanks for your comment on my altitude thread. I find Prescott to be a wasteland for great audio stores. Do you know anyone local WHO CAN SET UP  A NEW CONTROL 4 SYSTEM? One local shop wanted $3,200!! How about projector repair locally?? Must we all have to go to Phoenix for this??
