Description

  1. I don’t consider this system to be an ultra all out assault, but it’s an all out assault. I urge any anyone struggling with their systems Sonics to try relocating their speakers in the room they’re using. For me, when I changed my speakers position, I finally realize how good they really are.
Also, want to mention the Focal’s work well in my room. My room, even though not large by any means, has openings that help tremendously. I moved the system around and placed the speakers on the short wall, which created a big improvement in over all sound. Have recently updated my amps to Mcintosh MC611 and took on a new turntable SME model 15 with 309 arm. Hana Umami Red cartridge. Wonderfull setup and sounding.

I am curious which other power amplifiers you also seriously considered before opting to buy the MC 611s.  What were the criteria you used in making your decision, and what was it about the 611s that put them on top?

Hi
I admire your system. Always loved the Focals!
I hope this gets to you.
I did post on your thread about shelves.
Ralph Karsten of Atma-Sphere told me that the biggest improvement to his system was getting SRA platforms. I got their VR $1500 platform for my Woodsong Garrard 301 and have the same experience. I am absolutely amazed at the improvement. You can keep your current rack and just get SRA platforms. My rack is of a similar quality to yours and the platform has transformed my system. I cannot more highly recommended.

Hi

Glad you are enjoying your Esoteric Ko3xd When did you get it? I ordered one in April, I live in Vancouver Canada, and after many followups I have been told there are none yet in North America. My shipment would be coming from Japan to LA then to Vancouver. So I still wait yet you have one?

thanks Greg

All try to answer all the questions asked so far. The speakers need some distance from the listener for the drivers to integrate well. I’ve them 10’ from my listening position and they sing from that distance. The Luxman D08U is very analog sounding CD SACD player.
Luxman is over built for the their price point and well thought out equipment. The M900U plugged into the P20 works well. I’ve poor electricity in my area. The P20 cleans everything up and regenerates much purer ac and doesn’t limit any current to the M900U.

Beautiful system!
Do you plug the Luxman M-900U into the PS Audio? If you do I am curious in what way the performance of the M-900 improved;
Thx!

Solid system, congratulations! What was your path to get there?

I've been thinking about getting a good SACD player to replace my Oppo BDP-95, can you tell me more about the D08U? Thanks!

joel_hifi

Nice Setup, you got some serious equipment there!

Very nice!  I’ve been drooling over that same analog set up. Please tell me it sounds very satisfying.
