Description

I took our separate dining room, closed it off, and built a custom dedicated listening room. I custom hand built all room treatment. I built diaphragmatic bass absorption into the front and rear wall. The room is small, but allows a full range speaker to deliver a spectacular full range musical experience. Fairly even frequency response down to 30hz. It's taken a lot of work, but well worth it.

Vsrr.   Thank you for checking out my system/ room.  It’s changed a lot in the last year. I updated my system page today.

I plug both Bricasti M28 amps into the PSM156. Excellent results!  The Puritan psm156 does not constrain the amp’s ability to pull needed power (volts). The PSM156 does not have an internal transformer and does not daisy chain the 6 outlet plugs. Each component plugged into the psm156 draws on the full available voltage from the corresponding wall outlet. The psm156 simply purifies unwanted hash/ noise from the incoming electrical stream. I have a 20amp dedicated line that feeds my psm156. I highly recommend the Puritan Ultimate power cord.

Wow what an awesome room and setup!
Out of curiosity, have you had success plugging your Bricasti amp into the Puritan? I have a 300W amp, and have been considering the PSM156, but I'm worried that it might constrain my amp in some way.
Also - very curious to hear if you found any great power cable upgrades for connecting the PSM156 to the wall. The Puritan Ultimate cable seems like the logical first step, but curious to learn from your experience. Happy listening!

Congratulations for maximizing and repurposing the most under utilized space in many homes.

Impressive achievement.

Nice system, too!

That is an awesome room. Congratulations. Can you tell me more about the SBooster upgrade for the Lumin T2?

Thanks

Very nice!  Can you share your general location?  I would love to hear AND see this in person! (It’s cool if not)

dreas. Thanks for noticing the attention to detail in cable management. It’s a small thing, but I find it relaxing to know all my cables are placed just how I want them.

Very nice system and room acoustics, great job, well done :)

Amazing set up and sound treatments. Love your attention to wire / cable management, too! Enjoy!

Just wow. What an effort. It's going to take me years and a lot of my wife rolling her eyes for me to come close to half that.
Bravo mate, bravo!

Like Kevin, I have questions..

Morgan - way to go! Your room looks amazing and the attention to detail and effort is second to none. Kudos.  Like you, I've treated my room and firmly believe that acoustical treatment makes a huge (50%?) difference in sound quality.  Mind if I ask some questions about the treatments?
* what kind of treatment is directly behind the listening chair on the back wall?
* what's the max length of the Skyline diffusor blocks?
* do you find having so much wood in the room sounds different and better than normal drywall or plaster?
Thanks in advance.     ...kevin

Looks a million bucks. I had to read the note to realize it was an average room, transformed.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback. I built the room with the desire to get the absolute best out of my system. I believe a room’s acoustic inefficiencies will limit our ability to hear our system’s true capabilities. It is amazing how satisfying a good system can sound in a well designed and treated room. Thanks again.
