Description

I’ve had a scorching case of upgradeitus for the last couple years and it’s been fun. I finally feel my system is approaching what I’ve been aiming for. LOTS of research on here and elsewhere has helped me assemble components that work well together with my rather limited budget and smallish room.
I’ve been fascinated and amazed at how things like different cable manufacturers and vibration control can bring such immediately noticeable improvements or differences.
My listening room leaves a little to be desired, but as a family man, I consider myself beyond lucky to have my own dedicated room.

Thanks el34! You’re absolutely right and I often have to remind myself the music is more important than the gear. It’s easy to forget sometimes. When I’ve witnessed such a vast improvement in sound quality, and hear new things in music I’ve  known by heart for decades, it’s hard for me not to obsess about how much I am still missing out on.
Probably for the best that I’m now forced to pump the brakes on the upgrades. Quit my job and am now a stay at home dad.

That's a seriously nice rig! Do yourself a favor and just enjoy the music, don't take too deep a dive into listening to the equipment. The Monitor 30's are probably as much speaker as anyone really needs - I still miss the pair I had.
