If you haven't heard a well designed DIY speaker, you are cheating yourself and believing the hype from mainstream manufacturers. They can't begin to produce a speaker with the quality of components of a good DIY design and also make a profit without charging exorbitantly high prices. The beauty of a speaker design is in the crossover and the quality of the drivers. Everything else just plays a supporting role.
