Description

Gone are my beloved Krell HRC HR and KSA 300s pre and power amps I have had since 1997.  I had them recapped twice.  I waited a little too long and one of the pieces had some minor DC leak.  I was to have them serviced and was given a preowned Burmester 032 as a service loaner.  Once installed I could not give it up.  There are improvements in all areas.  Most notable is gone I’d the typical black and romantic Krell background replaced by a background I can only explain as nothingness.  This gives more secondary harmonics and decay, clarity and detail. Hall ambience and depth is more palpable.  Truly a three dimensional image with air around the performers.  Much better detail, including bass detail and control.  Leading edge and transients are sharp but natural.  Best cymbal reproduction I have heard.  Timbre spot on.  Truly an amazing integrated.  Yes I am down a lot of $$$ but my ears and mind are in bliss.

Sorry it’s been so long for me to reply.  Thank you for your comments.  @toro3  the wall unit is actually a living room dry bar.  I posted another pic with my bourbon collection.  Also posted my analog rig.

Congrats on the Burmester purchase! It matches well with Vivid Audio.  Burmester’s CD players are also exquisite. One of the best.

What a cool unique system jsalerno! Gaya's are so unique totally a love it or hate it design but I be they sound fantastic. And that Burmester integrated looks like a beast!

I find these systems which integrate into the home vs dedicated listening spaces much more interesting to view. You really have to be a little more clever and creative - the audio components hidden in the dining room cabinet is a great example. The Vivid Audio Giya’s always remind me of The 5th Element. Would love to hear.
