Description

New amps and pre amp currently in the system. Plus Moon Mind2 streamer added. The Gato CDD-1 is a hold over from previous system and does double duty as a CD player and DAC. Vinyl playback is done in another system.  ( in case your wondering why I have vinyl and no TT here)
This system started as my 3rd system in a vacated kids bedroom in 2015 and has evolved into my main system over the years. I have attached additional pictures showing some of the journey.

Hi  tshark. Thanks. I actually do not think those plants had any effect on bass response.

Great looking listening spaces. I guess I need to get m office furniture out of the former bedroom and dedicate only to audio as you have done.

Q. Do the trees in the corners help to reduce bass bouncing off the walls?

“What are your thoughts on that Gato stack? I've been reading a lot about them and their integrated DIS-400S looks really good”-sunshdw
Hey sunshdw, I really like the quality , look and sound from the Gato gear. I do prefer their class A/B stuff tho. I had a DIA 250s in a different system and although it was a nice kit and sounded decent, I just never really fell in love with it. That was my second venture with a Class D offering( Wadia A340’s the other) and I think I just like Class A or A/B better. I have never heard the 400 , but by all accounts it’s reported to sound better. If you can swing a good deal on one I think it’s definitely worth a shot. Especially if you comparing it to other Class D offerings.  That’s just IMHO too, take it for what’s it worth. Haha

Awesome looking system and room and thanks for the look back on some of your previous systems. Those B&W's are such classics would love to hear a pair someday.

What a wonderful dedicated audio sanctuary. Great aesthetics, too.
