I helped my friend find and setup a Luxman PD-444 Turntable with it’s clever track and sliding/locking plates system for Two Tonearms. He chose wonderful Micro Seiki 505 arms. Wider Plinth than normal, my JVC PL-2 Plinth is Deeper than normal.
Elegant simplicity conceals terrific technology.
1. heavy platter is made light (quartz locked motor’s magnetics repells -80% off it’s bearing)
2. 1/8” t aluminum cladding and two 1/8” t Cast Iron Plates, nearly 50 lbs total
3. built-in a/b switch box to select which tonearm, thus you need only 1 phono input. (I need an external switch to select which arm of my JVC PL-2).
4. adjustable insulating feet (my JVC feet adjust, but I needed separate isolation blocks)
5. thick/heavy anti-resonant dust cover, hinged: play up, down, or easily off.
