My room is relatively small and doubles as my home office. It's also where my wife and I watch TV together. Therefore, setting it up for audio performance had to be balanced with the other purposes and spouse approval. This resulted in the listening chair and speakers being placed on the long sides of the room, creating a more near field listening arrangement. But this has turned out quite well. Side wall reflections are greatly reduced, and excitation of room modes has been diminished. Room treatment, some seen in the the photos, and some in areas not visible in the photos, has been quite beneficial. The result is an exceptionally smooth tonal balance and well controlled bass.
The sound I get in my room with this system is best described as neutral but highly musical. There is
outstanding transparency and palpable reproduction of voices and instruments. Adding the ASR Emitter 1 Exclusive was the game changer in the system, revealing the immense capabilities of the Vimberg Amea. Next up, a pair of custom powered subwoofers featuring custom 12" Audio Technology drivers that will serve as stands for the Ameas, and the battery power supply for the Emitter. Long term, perhaps the diamond tweeter for the Amea. Stay tuned.
I have never listened to many of these components - but I've heard of them, and have read reviews. It seems you chose equipment that would fit a smaller room, and then also optimized the room through treatments.
I do share your streaming equipment: I have the Small Green Computer i5 cdr, and the Optical Rendu. It is a pleasant surprise how good affordable streaming can be.
