Beautiful vintage system! IMHO, in terms of visual appeal the 1970's was the best decade for audio gear. All the colorful lights and black or silver facias. I remember back in the summer of 1975, my Dad took me to buy my first audio system. A Marantz 2230 receiver and Technics SL1500 DD turntable that I used with a pair of Infinity 1001A speakers. The Hi-Fi store was a visual feast for the eyes with all of the receivers, tuners, integrated amp's and separates, as well as the reel to reel and cassette tape decks.
That was fifty years ago and I can still remember it like it was yesterday! 😊
Like your vibe. Someone here with his own aesthetic. I'll come by with some of my niece's Pineapple weed. A two-hundred-plus grand education, including semesters at Trinity College, Ireland, and the University of Amsterdam. Kid saw more of the world by twenty-four than I did at fifty. She now works at a dispensary as a legal drug dealer. Go figure.
Very nice system, I really like the way you have situated everything and your base boarding idea is different. It looks like you have power and signal right next to each other. How do you ensure no interference... in my system if I get the speaker cable very close to any of the power cords I can hear a slight interference. How much speaker position testing did you do before you settled up on this, I have a friend with similar speakers and he had a hard time getting things to work but he had REL subs. You have a very nice room and have really put together a great spot for great listening. Well Done !!
Thank you for the compliments, The Beta 4 column System uses one Pc5002m for the mid to high towers the other 5002 the woofer towers. The TV section which is 6x 0.2 infinitesimal Speakers and the SSW 212 use the Pc4002m amplifier systems can work independent or jointly. My pre amp is a Yamaha Cx1000. All of which has had time consuming thorough retrofitting and tuning. IMO it’s a clean sound and all complement one another. Certainly nobody gets too warm, clipping is completely out of the question.
That's a wonderful looking room, and the gear is intriguing! Since I don't know which Yamaha piece does what, I find myself wondering: Are the big Yamaha's power amps only? If so, what do you use as a preamp? What part of the speaker do you assign each Yamaha?
Anyway, it sure looks great, and your room is welcoming and comfortable looking.
