Description

I'm finally at a point where I'm enjoying my system and actually listening to music. I converted one of my barns into a music room embracing the countryside so music, architecture and nature are harmonious as one. It's a very organic, warm and peaceful room and I find the look of the Accuphase components and the LaScala spkrs exudes this concept quite well.

My Accuphase components have broken in and offer a truly musically engaging experience with incredible macro and micro dynamics, a large soundstage, imaging, warmth and PRaT - the fundamentals of a really good system.

Thank you. I appreciate the compliment.  I sit on the couch 99% of the time but I do love the Eames and should start using it more lol.  It's just that I have to reposition it in front of the couch. But it does offer a truly nice experience.

My room is 14.5' wide x 20' deep x 9.5' high.  

The view of the countryside is quite nice hence the windows, but I've sacrificed acoustics.  So here I am today trying to address this. I've been looking at local Canadian products like Primacoustic panels as well as felt boxes by TheQuietRoom.ca which will be filled with 6" of Rockwool's Safe and Sound acoustic insulation. I'm also looking at the PSI AUDIO AVAA C214 active bass trap. 

I've also been told that I should consider a subwoofer and today I found myself on Canuckaudiomart.com looking at REL. 

I have to be very careful how to integrate all this stuff so as not to ruin the look of the room.

Thanks! Unfortunately there wasn't anywhere else I could place my Innuos Pulsar Streamer.  I thought of putting it on its side behind the white dummy wall under the bench but was advised not to by the manufacturer. The Innuos Pulsar is also a great unit so why hide it right?

One day the A80 will be sitting on this bench.  BTW, this slab is 250 yr solid Cherry wood.

thanks! The Accuphase components like the LaScalas are definitely keepers and I couldn't be happier. I'm in the process of adding room treatment and finished a series of CAD renderings of my room with various options and colours. To me aesthetics is just as important as function. I'm still learning. It's been quite the journey!

It looks like you have a great space with great components.

linnie01 hey thanks, I truly appreciate your comment.  I've been looking into acoustic room treatment and now have the task of implementing treatment but keeping aesthetics in mind. My room will never be perfect acoustically but I'm thoroughly enjoy being in the room listening to music and relaxing with not a worry in mind. As far as treatment goes I'm looking at Primacoustic from Canada and avoiding the huge delivery costs and tariffs from products abroad.

Hey thanks for the compliment and your observation! Exactly,  who says audio components can only be black! LaScalas are definitely a very unique speaker and I never get tired looking at them. And I love my Accuphase components equally.
