I misspoke. I should have said "so inside the speakers the subs go".
Good catch!

Great system, but I don't understand something.  Did you move your subs OUTSIDE the main speakers?  Your photo shows them INSIDE the main speakers, but your last comment says, "...outside the speakers the subs go..."  I'm a little confused.  I'm battling with the same question.  That's why I wanted your thoughts.

I wanted the subs to be on the outside of the speakers but didn't want the speakers that close together.  So, outside the speakers the subs go.

Again, great system!!  Just curious...  What prompted you to put the subwoofers on the INSIDE of the main speakers?  Normally I have seen the subs on the OUTSIDE of the main speakers.  Was there a reason you did this?  I'd be interested to know because I'm battling with the same problem (inside or outside).

@flrun Huge improvement. B&W suggests toe-in, but I felt they were too bright positioned that way. No toe-in takes care of that, to my ears.

I have a pair of old B&W CDM7 SE and have wanted to try some 800 series, are they a big improvement over what you had before? They don't require any toe in?

By the way you didn't live in VA in the 80s-90s did you? I knew a Tom Carr there.

Looks fantastic!!  What a beautiful listening room!  What model are the JL Audio subs?
