McIntosh MCD600 SACD/CD player/preamp, PS Audio M1200 monoblock amps, B&W 803 D3 speakers, JL Audio active subs, Anti-Cables wires, Primacoustic absorption panels.
System and room are set up with priorities being clarity, dynamics, imaging, soundstage, effortless high volume, timbres.
Typically listen at peaks of 85-90 dB. Maximum SPL of 112 dB according to B&W.

Great system, but I don't understand something.  Did you move your subs OUTSIDE the main speakers?  Your photo shows them INSIDE the main speakers, but your last comment says, "...outside the speakers the subs go..."  I'm a little confused.  I'm battling with the same question.  That's why I wanted your thoughts.

Again, great system!!  Just curious...  What prompted you to put the subwoofers on the INSIDE of the main speakers?  Normally I have seen the subs on the OUTSIDE of the main speakers.  Was there a reason you did this?  I'd be interested to know because I'm battling with the same problem (inside or outside).
