Why did you sold the B52 and what is you current favorite headphone amp for the HD800?

Hi,
i am now back in the world of cans. In the past years i had a RS-1, K-701 and HD650 just for short periods.
For some weeks i listen to a SPL Phonitor amp with Sennheiser HD800.
Can you comment your experiences with Sennheiser HPs with normal and balanced cables? Maybe used on the same B52.
How would you characterize the sound of the B52?
Do you now maybe the SPL Phonitor or the new CEC HD53N as in comparison?

Thanks for any informations!
Balazs
