Description

My listening priorities / biases are emotional expression, coupled with a non-fatiguing presentation. Each component (or tweak) upgrade should enhance / preserve my systems ability to disappear. My objective is to create an audio system that can capture the elusive polar characteristics of smoothness & resolution, while projecting a coherent, seamless presence.

Thanks for asking. I have National-Union, Acrturus and Silvertone Super ST pairs as well as some singles. I prefer the Cunningham CX-345 globes. I prefer the globes. The ST's are slightly more powerful, and rhythmic but the globes just have MORE of what the 45 does so well. I've heard the EL 45 is better than any NOS 45! I'd love to get a pair. My amp uses either 2a3 or 45, and there is no comparison... the 45 is so much better. The 2a3, you're listening (still) to the tube, with the 45 you're listening to the music!
