Flg2001, I heard a pair of G Mementoes at the SF dealer's early on in my speaker auditioning but was surprisingly underwhelmed. I found the sound very uninvolving but given their reputation, I'd have to lay the blame on the upstream components (Meridian G08.2, ARC preamp, Jeff Rowland Consonance amp)which may have been a suboptimal match. I thought the GM's looked drop-dead gorgeous! When the Cremona's arrived, despite only 20 hours of break-in, the sound was instantly musical and moving. Mind you, electronics were totally different this time-- Meridian 808.2, Boulder pre, ARC VT200 monoblocks but given the huge savings in cost, I went with the M's.
Cheers,
Peter.

Netpooch - just noticed it!, congratulatios again! - I have not been lucky enough to hear any Shindo gear so far but reviews everwhere placed them as one of the best and sensible options in the Hi-End market.

I own a pair of SF Guarneri Homage with a REL sub, have you heard/tried this speaker and compared them with the Ms?

Fernando

Flg2001,
As you may have noticed, I've replaced the CJ pre with a Shindo Masseto. It pairs very nicely with the Defy. System resolution and palpability have definitely gone up a notch!

Ingue723,
The iPod will accept and playback wav files from any source. I'll often download wav's from torrent sites! Sound quality is excellent through my Stax DAC.

I also have a Wadia 1701, a Jadis amp and Sonus Faber speakers - any reason why you do not currently have a Jadis preamp? (I know that CJ is great - I have had some) but looks like your Defy might mate pretty well with a JPL for example).

Congrats!

Hi, I noticed that you have a wadia 170i, I was thinking about getting one myself. Just wanted ask you if it is worth buying. How is the quality of the sound with the wadia. Another question is, are you able to download wav files on to the ipod from itunes or does it have to from a CD. Thank you.
