Flg2001, I heard a pair of G Mementoes at the SF dealer's early on in my speaker auditioning but was surprisingly underwhelmed. I found the sound very uninvolving but given their reputation, I'd have to lay the blame on the upstream components (Meridian G08.2, ARC preamp, Jeff Rowland Consonance amp)which may have been a suboptimal match. I thought the GM's looked drop-dead gorgeous! When the Cremona's arrived, despite only 20 hours of break-in, the sound was instantly musical and moving. Mind you, electronics were totally different this time-- Meridian 808.2, Boulder pre, ARC VT200 monoblocks but given the huge savings in cost, I went with the M's.
Cheers,
Peter.

Flg2001,
As you may have noticed, I've replaced the CJ pre with a Shindo Masseto. It pairs very nicely with the Defy. System resolution and palpability have definitely gone up a notch!

Ingue723,
The iPod will accept and playback wav files from any source. I'll often download wav's from torrent sites! Sound quality is excellent through my Stax DAC.
