Description

Simple 3.1 Home Theater/2.1 Music System. I plan to add an Apple airport express in the near future for streaming. The Integra can handle 24 bit/192 khz resolution through a pair of Burr Brown PCM 1704s in dual differential configuration.

I'm pretty happy with the setup so far and am now focusing on a second 2.1 computer setup. I plan to use a mac mini as a music server going directly into a Focal iCub connected to a pair of Focal 907Bes. An external DAC may be necessary in the future, but the iCub has 20 bit DAC built in.

I'm not that big into wires, but most of the a/v wires are good quality from Monoprice. I custom made the speaker wire from 12 gauge wire and high quality spades. Power upgrades are limited to two PS Audio Quintets.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I've been very happy with Mogami Gold cables. They make analog and both 75/110 ohm digital cables with various connector's. They're consistant, smooth, and have been the standard in many recording studio's for years. Compared to well-proven exotic blends, they are very affordable and sound great to me.

All correctly matched (analog/instrument, and 75 or 110 ohm digital) Mogami Gold cables has helped produce a very balanced musical sound in my system.
