Gregg Straley Reality Speaker Cables
As we created and perfected our unique "Reality Cables" we learned quite a few "tricks and tweaks" that we have not seen used by any other cable manufacturer! Our goal was to create a conductive transmission line that was more transparent than any other current design offered on the market (regardless of cost or technology). We realized we had very lofty goals, but you've got to have a target, right? As we tried many ideas used by some other well known cable companies, we soon realized that too many designs are just decent sounding cables with some unique feature and rely more on "mumbo jumbo" marketing and the "look" of their design then actually creating a "wonder cable" that exceeds all other designs.
Hi George! New house and system look awesome! Congrats on both. So glad the BAT worked out so well. Can't wait for a listen one day. Definitely see ya at RMAF!
Only negative is the amount of time it takes Jim to make them.
I have personally auditioned or extensively listened to tons of speakers at and above the price point of the Salk HT3's.
Products from the ususal suspects (B&W, Maggie, Wilson, Dynaudio, Gallo, VMPS, Von Schweikart, Audio Physic, Theil, Coincident, Merlin, and Piega) didn't sound or look better.
The only speakers I would take over the HT3's are the Vandy 5A's and maybe the SP Tech Revelations (with all upgrades).
System edited: As good as the McCormack DNA-500 was, the BAT VK-600SE takes the system to a new level! The BAT amps adds more warmth and inner detail without losing any of the slam and speed that the DNA-500 had in spades. I have also upgraded the Bolder Cable Ultimate Power Supply for the modified Squeeze Box. It how has Silver and Copper Bybees as well as all the other goodies Wayne normally includes. Overall, I am very happy with the way my system is sounding these days. George
"The Tact and McCormack have taken things to a different level. The system is more accurate and MUCH MORE musical and enjoyable". It sure has !! Since my last visit to zybar's, its sounding 100% better. This system should stay in place for a long time. Good luck with it !!!
GW- Just a superb set up and a great look from the seat! It was nice corresponding with you this past week and discussing various toys. Good luck with the latest acquisitions. Wish I could be up that way and do a little "raving" with you guys!--Ken
