Roxy- Yes the amps are great. They are really overkill as I live in a very small apartment in NYC. I just had to have them though! Do you have a system up on Audiogon as well? I would enjoy seeing it. Scottsmrnyc

System edited: I think I am done for a while. I would like to investigate some other changes but I have spent enough money for now. Scottsmrnyc

System edited: I am now done building this system for a while. I could still use a good turntable and cd player as well as a great small rear set of speakers; but that will have to wait for a year or two. You might as why I now have four McIntosh 1.2kws living in such a small Manhattan apartment and I must be honest and say that I just wanted them. They are certainly overkill; but I am enjoying their sound and I never play my music at high volumes either! That is the beauty of McIntosh. They sound incredible at low and middle level volumes as well. Enjoy and thanks for looking at my system. Scottsmrnyc

System edited: I have recently added two McIntosh Labs MX 135s, I am taking a break from adding any new pieces for this year. I am very pleased with the sound improvements created from the new MX 135s. I am using one MX 135 in Stereo mode for my external system and one MX 135 for my headphone system. I now have two Wadia 170 docking stations. I question whether I will actually need to buy a nice CD Player or another Turntable. Some people would question the selection of my Cerwin Vega D9s; two of which are biwired for the left channel and two for the right channel. I was pleasantly surprised on how great they sounded once I connected them to the MX 135.

System edited: My current system contains some components that are considered to be standardly excellent as well as some components that I think are great but might not be considered high end. These surprise piece, such as the Cerwin Vega D9s, are just as competitive if not better than many high end pieces I have heard at the various audio salons and shows I have attended. High end to me is totally about sound performance not about the money price of a product. Scottsmrnyc

System edited: I recently added two McIntosh Labs MX 135s. ONe is being used as a preamp for my external speaker system and the other is being used as a Headphone preamp. I plan to do some more upgrade in a year or so. Oh, by the way, that's my dog, Buddy, in the photo.
